But when talking about white-tailed deer, “rut” means something completely different: it refers to all behavior and activities associated with the breeding season. Learn how white-tailed deer rut and look for signs of mating activity such as primary scrapes and licked branches during a walk with Pennypack groundskeeper Kirk Laule and Stewardship Crew Chief, Ryan Staiber.
