November 13th – Philadelphia Marine Debris Coalition Community Meeting, Thursday, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Are you interested in learning more about microplastics? Would you like to take part in meaningful citizen science in the Pennypack Watershed? Join us and The Academy of Natural Sciences to learn about the new Philadelphia Marine Debris Action Coalition (PMAC), a NOAA and Seagrant-funded project spanning 6 watersheds in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Pennypack Trust is one of several organizations collaborating with the Academy to engage the community in microplastics research.
This presentation will introduce the coalition and its goals to better understand the extent of microplastics pollution in our region and its pathways through our aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Come with questions about microplastics and learn about future opportunities to get involved.
