Event Details

Learn from bat aficionado Jeffrey Fehlenberg about the most frequently seen bat species in Pennsylvania and get a glimpse into a nocturnal world few of us really know.  It’s estimated that, in the last decade, 99 percent of Pennsylvania’s hibernating bat population has succumbed to White-nose syndrome, a fungus that grows on bats’ noses and wings.  Find out why some scientists believe the decline is moderating – and could be actually reversing – and what YOU can do to assist. Pre-registration required.  Members free; non-members $5.
