*POSTPONED* Multiple Dates – Managing Turf and Meadows for Insect Pollinators (2-Part Course)

*POSTPONED*

We had to postpone this program. If you register, you will be notified of the new date(s).Thank you.

Session 1 was originally scheduled for: Thursday, February 16th.

Session 2 was originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 21st.

Over the past two years, Pennypack Trust science staff and Bryn Athyn College instructor Grace McMackin have refined field methodologies to better understand the insect pollinators present in local turf and meadow and their interactions with non-native and native plants. The resulting data provides valuable insight into what land management practices would best support a diverse population of pollinating insects. This is a two-part research seminar: part one will broadly introduce local bees and Grace McMackin’s bee population research. Part two will dive into the research methodologies and observational data collected on plant-pollinator interactions. Session 1 is on Thursday, February 16th. Session 2 is on Tuesday, February 21st. Both sessions will be held virtually over zoom starting at 7:00 PM.
