Join state park educators and your local Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust staff for a fun and engaging day of wildlife-themed, place-based professional development. Formal and non-formal educators alike will get hands-on with the award-winning Project WILD curriculum. Backed by sound educational practice and theory, Project WILD provides wildlife-based conservation and environmental education lessons that foster responsible action towards wildlife.
This workshop is open to all educators at all grade levels. Lessons will be demonstrated at a middle-grade level, with recommendations for adapting up or down.
Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. Bring your own lunch and water bottle, and come prepared to be outdoors! Weather permitting, we will spend most of our day outside, with some trail walking close to the Visitor Center.
All participants will receive a copy of the Project WILD K-12 Curriculum and Activity Guide!
