Learn the why, what and how of growing native fruiting shrubs and trees that provide food and shelter for birds throughout the seasons. Help sustain year round residents as well as migratory birds while enjoying the beauty and adaptability of these great plants in your landscape!

Penn State University Master Gardener, Pam Herceg trained and taught at PSU extension for the past eleven years and previously in ornamental horticulture and landscape design at Longwood Gardens and Morris Arboretum. She specializes in native plants, wildlife habitat and sustainable garden designs.  She presents on topics including Native Trees for Biodiversity, Small Meadows: Big Impacts and Re-defining Shade Ground Covers with Natives and Seasonal Delights: Native Fruiting Plants for Birds as well as developing wildlife habitat garden designs for public institutions for the past fifteen years.
