On December 5, 1921, a head-on train collision near the Creek Road Bridge killed 27 passengers and crew members and injured 70 others. Learn more about this catastrophe that led the Interstate Commerce Commission to recommend major changes in passenger railcar construction during a 45-minute presentation in the Visitor Center. Then take a 2-mile hike guided to the crash site and back led by David Rowland. Hike includes a stretch of Montgomery County’s flat and level Pennypack Trail.
