
Slate of Electors 2025
PERT’s Annual Member’s Meeting is on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7 PM in the Visitors Center. Here are the candidates who are being considered for seats on the Board of Directors:
Dr. Fredrik Bryntesson

Board Member
Fredrik is an associate professor of biology at Bryn Athyn College. He joined the faculty at Bryn Athyn in 2001 where he teaches introductory biology and upper-level courses in genetics, cell structure and function, molecular genetics, cancer biology, and the senior capstone class. He currently serves as the head of the biology major and is the director of faculty development at Bryn Athyn. He has since 2007 been involved with the ongoing deer study, a collaborative effort between Bryn Athyn College and the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, that focuses on learning more about the movement and behavior of suburban white-tailed deer. He is also involved in a research project that focuses on the historical status of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker, and historical searches for this bird especially between the 1930s and the early 1970s.
Dr. Bryntesson was elected to the Board of Directors in 2013.
Louise “Butter” D’Alessandro

Board Member
Ms. D’Alessandro is a founding partner of Elfant Wissahickon Realtors, the largest independent real estate brokerage in the Philadelphia region. She is a representative of the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors. She and her husband Rick Hamilton reside at “Pierson’s Corners” on Creek Road.
Ms. D’Alessandro had served previously on the Pennypack Board of Directors and is currently the Chair of the Property and Facilities Committee since 2020.
Louis “Tripp” Davis III

President
Louis (“Tripp”) Davis III rose through the ranks to become the third-generation owner and president of L.D. Davis Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of adhesive products. Tripp is a high-energy business executive who earned an MBA from Pennsylvania State University in 1991; his experience has made him in high demand for positions on the boards of business and nonprofit organizations, three of which he continues to serve. Mr. Davis enjoys participating in a wide variety of outdoor and racquet sports, playing guitar and piano, and traveling. Tripp, his wife Jennifer, their two children, and their Golden Retriever live in Abington Township.
Mr. Davis has served on the Trust’s board of directors since 2009, and became President of the board in 2025.
Robert J. Riethmiller Jr.

Board Member
Mr. Riethmiller is the Chairman of the Board of the PTR Baler and Compactor Company. He has been a member of several industry boards including the Environmental Research and Education Foundation and the Material Handling Institute of America. He was inducted into the Environmental Industry Association Hall of Fame in 2006. He currently serves on the boards of the Abington Memorial Hospital Foundation, Chestnut Hill College, and the Iron Worker’s Pension Fund. Bob and his wife, Anne, reside in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, and have four children and eleven grandchildren.
David B. Rowland

Secretary
David B. Rowland is President and Chief Executive Officer of Second Federal Savings and Loan Association of Philadelphia, a small mutual savings bank in Center City. Previously, he has worked in the financial services and investment management fields. Mr. Rowland is a 1985 graduate of Bucknell University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Economics, and History. In 1987 he received a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Center of Government. Mr. Rowland serves on the board of various nonprofit organizations including the Athenaeum of Philadelphia, the Library Company of Philadelphia, the Jenkinstown Lyceum, and the Old York Road Historical Society, where he has been president of the board since 1996. David resides in Upper Dublin Township.
Mr. Rowland was elected to the Board of Directors in 2016.
