Create a fresh new look for your landscape with beautiful native layers. Combining a variety of colors, textures, and sizes of native shade plants, with a creative use of pruning techniques generates many seasons of interest AND attract birds, butterflies and beneficial insects for beauty AND biodiversity!
Penn State University Master Gardener, Pam Herceg trained and taught at PSU extension for the past eleven years and previously in ornamental horticulture and landscape design at Longwood Gardens and Morris Arboretum. She specializes in native plants, wildlife habitat and sustainable garden designs. She presents on topics including Native Trees for Biodiversity, Small Meadows: Big Impacts and Re-defining Shade Ground Covers with Natives and Seasonal Delights: Native Fruiting Plants for Birds as well as developing wildlife habitat garden designs for public institutions for the past fifteen years.
