On December 5, 1921, a head-on train collision on the Newtown railroad line near the Creek Road Bridge killed 26 passengers and crew members and injured 70 others.  Join us to learn more about this catastrophe during a presentation in the Pennypack Trust Visitor’s Center. Following the talk, we will walk to the crash site around 2:45 PM. Railroad historian Larry Eastwood and Old York Road Historical Society President David Rowland will lead the proceedings. Co-sponsored by the Old York Road Historical Society. Pre-registration required by December 2nd. Space is limited for the lecture held in the Pennypack Trust Visitor’s Center.
