Fly fishing can be a fun way to fish for the first time or it can present a new experience for seasoned anglers. Anyone, ages 12 years and older with an interest in learning the basics of fly fishing equipment, knot tying, casting techniques and on the water skills is welcome. It is the perfect opportunity to learn fly fishing basics and meet other fly anglers. Join Pennypack Trust staff and members of the Southeast Montgomery County Chapter of Trout Unlimited to learn the basics of fly fishing!
This 4-hour session will be outdoors at Mason’s Mill Park and will cover the basic equipment and techniques needed to get started and the basics of preparing your rod, casting, and fishing. This program is limited to 8 people. Rod and reel combinations will be provided for the session or bring your own. Members: $50. Non-members: $85 and will receive an annual membership to the Pennypack Trust. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
